The Aston Martin Vantage V8 gets an update Aston Martin has refreshed the V8 Vantage sports coupe and roadster. You’ll need to don your British Racing Green anorak to spot the changes, but that’s no reason to complain: the eight-cylinder Vantage is a fine car and remains one of the best-looking GTs on sale.
It’s essentially a model line update, with a host of new styling options in the shape of new ten-spoke 19in alloy wheels (forged and with a diamond finish, no less), the sills and clear rear lights from the top-notch Vantage N400, and new meshes for the bonnet vents and side strakes.
Head inside the baby Aston and you can specify lightweight Kevlar and carbonfibre seats (saving 17kg from the AMV8’s 1.6-ton kerb weight) and a new 1000W Bang & Olufsen stereo system.
Other big news regards the car’s emissions, which drop from 328g/km of CO2 to 315g/km for the manual and 300g/km with the Sportshift automatic. That makes no difference to the Vantage’s tax band, though.
A neat set of changes if you can afford the unchanged asking price - £87,101 for the coupe, £94,931 for the roadster - and nothing to change your mind if you admire the V8 from a distance, which is something you can do by perusing our gallery below…

I like everything but the wheels. I think the original Vantage wheels (7-spoke in Anthracite) looked the best. I'd slap some P40s on it and call it a day.

One of the best cars one the road today, so hard to choose you've got an XKR, Granturismo S and this many sexy gt's out there.
