Aston Martin Rapide caught completely undisguised

The bench mark of beauty isn't exactly high if you're comparing it to the Panamera. That's like saying Megan Fox is hot in comparison with a Rosie O'Donell.

As BigE said, this car reminds me regulat DB9 taken to limo conversion shop, where middle was cut out and two more doors were added. And the result is - fugly. Rapide fans can put the blame on me, but to me it looks fugly and unproportional.

How is it that MBZ, Maserati, Bentley, BMW and Rolls can all make extremely attractive Coupes and Sedans with both styles clearly capturing the "essence" of its design ethos, but Porsche and Aston Martin screw the design of their sedans up so badly?

I doubt that this is one of the customer cars. I think Aston Martin purposefully covered the headlights with some sort of plastic to make them seem longer than they really are. I hope those wheels don't end up being standard on the Rapide as they seriously don't fit with the image I have of Aston.
And what's up with the rear of the car? It has got more clearance than the rear of a 747 jumbo jet.
- New Wheels
- Lowered
- Red Tail Lights
- Proper Headlights
- British Racing Green
and then the car should be all set.

What the hell happened? The Rapide concept looked beautiful, and this is just sort of meh. Which takes some doing, because the DB9 isn't exactly ugly. I am angry and confused!
Still looks lightyears better than a Pana, unfortunately.

Vs.
There are noticeable differences, but I'm going to wait with my verdict on the car until they release official pictures of the finished product. There are plenty of vehicles in that looked horrible in their test phase, but ended up being gorgeous automobiles.
Bring IT ON Aston.
