new Car and Driver came yesterday... they test a black one that looks amazing, bright red interior.

They were very positive on it.

Yep... Coming to the US in the fall.

Also, the rotating vents and pop-up knob can be left in the "open" or "up" position via the onboard computer settings. I personally would love watching the car "wake up", but you can turn that off.

Sounds like Jaguar might've actually saved itself! They have a fantastic car, they just need people to buy them instead of MBs, BMWs, and Audis. The lack of a proper manual 'box really has me bummed, but that was to be expected. From everything else I've seen, heard, and read, it looks like Jaguar really has a winner on their hands with the XF! I can't wait to see the all-new XJ and XK in a few years!

I really would buy it over an M5, E63, etc. The only car I'd have to really think about would be this vs. the next RS4. The XF I drove was that good - even my wife liked it a lot! The XF vs. a 550i, E550, A6 4.2, etc. is a no-contest win for the Jag, IMO.

My Dad Loves this Car - But I keep trying to Convince him to go 09/10 Cts-V instead.

Funny how they dont compare the XF-R to the Cts-V.... Wonder why?

Because if they tried a real world comp the CTS wouldn't last 10 mins before breaking it's tranny.

Whereas Jaguar is historically known as a yardstick of reliability?
