Chances are you will know what an Exige 260-S is all about if you are reading the Lotus forum....The hottest, fastest and Lightest most track ready current model Lotus build, so, without further a'do...

I have just taken delivery of a brand new 2009 Exige 260-S here at the Lotus showroom in St. Louis.

There are just 3 in the country at this time of the total of just 50 that will be hand built by Lotus....and the other two are sold and delivered already...Both were gone within 24 hours !

Ours is Chrome Orange and it has Starshield ( the only option on the 260-S )

I'll sell it at list M.S.R.P to the first Teamspeeder to commit !

no red line...

 

Oh, there is, considering the stock oil pump on the 2ZZ likes to come apart over 9k rpm.

Lotus has historically not put a "redline" on their tachs, but it certainly has a limiter.

 

^^^ Yes...GrayTT Is right as there is no redline on the tachometer , but, Simba is also technically correct as the redline or limiter is 8,000 R.P.M. ,however, the car will allow "brief bursts" to 8,500 R.P.M at which point the rev limiter will cut in for sure.
