#1
ack in December Danish HI-FI specialist, Bang & Olufsen and Aston Martin announced their new partnership and have now released first details of the new BeoSound audio system exclusively designed for Aston Martin DBS and DB9. The high-end audio system has been seamlessly integrated into the Aston's bespoke interior with 13 individual speakers and Bang & Olufsen's Digital Signal Processing system.
The BeoSound DBS system incorporates two ALT (Acoustic Lens Technology) motorised tweeter units which emerge on either side of the dashboard and enable 180° horizontal dispersion of high frequencies. In addition to the two tweeters incorporated into the ALT, the system comprises five mid-range speakers, three further tweeters and three woofers, including a powerful 200mm subwoofer mounted beneath the rear bench. In all, thirteen speakers are positioned in ten locations around the car.

Linn Audio is one of the best ones, and it was great on the AM's before. However I really do like B&O. I think they have exceptional sound quality. Are there better systems out there? Yes, Absolutely. However they are more expensive, and don't always look as good. Are BOSE speakers a much better deal than B&O, and do they sound better? Yes and No. Bose makes some of the best audio systems out there, and they sound almost as good as B&O.
Looks are all personal, but the way I see it. If I am going to spend a ton of money on my home to make it look good, I want to have audio equipment that looks like it belongs in there. I have lots of B&O stuff, and I love the way it looks/sounds. And I think it looks great in the DBS, I think it complements the look of the car.

With all due respect, Bose is the biggest pile of shit on the face of the earth when it comes to audio systems. They do not even come close to falling within the realm of high end audio.
The same can be said for B&O, while they may look cool, you won't find a single audiophile in the world who would call their stuff high end.

Speakers are only half the battle, electronics, cabling, source material, clean power all contribute. High end audio is a scary expensive hobby.
For the money, there are MANY speakers/electronics out there that will blow Bose/B&O out of the water. They are more form then function.
