He still had to pay the listing fee even if it doesn't sell - and it graduates depending on your minimum bid amount. So, while funny, it is kind of an expensive joke. I don't know what the insertion fee for $5 million is, but I bet it is somewhere around $50 - $100. I bet that he is planning on Ebay taking it down for violating the rules.
