those were some lurid drifts. to wheel a bike around like that in the wet is very impressive.

 

Correct. Although a lot of what you were seeing was merely locking up the rear wheel in the wet.

It's a shame you only really see this type of riding in wet conditions. Since traction control has been allowed a lot of the excitement has been taken out of watching a rider lite up a turn. Now they pretty much just hit their apex, open the throttle, and let electronics handle the rest.

This is probably closer to "drifting"...
