RENNtech has been developing M178 downpipes for the new AMG GT S. The downpipes themselves are stainless steel units with 200 cell sport catalytic converters integrated into the design. Freeing up restriction so far upstream obviously pays dividends for power and torque.





It also has an appreciable result on the exhaust sound. Below, a juxtaposition video showing the stock AMG GT S compared to an AMG GT S outfitted with the Renntech ECU tune and downpipes.

The result is a car with a more aggressive growl and of course increased performance. Dyno results will be coming soon but for now enjoy the sound of an M178 that is less restricted than the factory setup.
