Mercedes Shows SLC Test Mule Photos
For this round of spy photos our team was able to take a coffee break because Mercedes was the one handing out internal spy shots of its on again, off again baby brother to the SLS AMG. This long rumored and speculated addition to the Mercedes-Benz line up finally looks like it is actually going to make it to production.
The test mule (internally known as C190) shares many visual cues of it's sibling, with the same long hood look and cabin located further back on the chassis, yet don't look for gullwing doors on this coupe, its not going to happen. We expect the new baby halo-car to use an all new super-light aluminum frame, and to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 rumbler, cranking out 480-495hp. You can be sure that a Black-series will be in the works as well.
We believe the new sub-SLS model will be called the SLC, reviving a moniker that hasn't been used for quite some time.
The silhouette looks great, and I'm looking forward to seeing another compact sports car; especially since this one will have a twin turbo V8. Any estimates on price?
Cant wait to see some final photos on this car.
I dont think it's going to look any diffrent than that of the SLS, but with out the Gull wing doors. Just smaller scale version. How much more diffrent can it get, we already know that its got a long nose and the driver sits near the rear wheel and a small trunk, so thats pretty much the baby version of the SLS.
With that comment I take it you have seen the SLC with the Camo off? Otherwise it's a bit premature to confirm dont you think.

Look at the car's profile, mirrors, and fenders/hood. I'd say sk8boy is correct, even if he hasn't see it. I can see similarities myself.Originally Posted by dieter.manero
