It's already in the cls, expect the S to get a even more powerful engine when it's released later this year. And of course that engine will feature in the SL and the upcoming S class coupe (CL)

I really wanted to like the M5, on paper it is a beast and a benchmark. So what happened. Don't know! What I do know is that after driving one, I was very shocked of how much I was not impressed. Though that maybe it was just the test drive and to give it another chance. Have read many comments on forums and in magazine reviews of the same opinion.
Crazy idea, but maybe BMW should follow RR, Audi, and MB in making their chasis full aluminum and shave off 500lbs!!!
I know those makers don't make all their cars this way but the ones they have are vastly improved in so many dynamic ways. Having driven the SL550 and RR (which I have on order) , the driving dynamics is night and day better from previous models.
Audi said they were going to catch up and beat BMW, they seem to be on their way. MB has made significant handling changes to their AMG line and are giving M a hard time. So now it is time for BMW to shape up and change in the right direction, I want to love you again. I used to get excited driving by a BMW dealership, now I just feel like its an Infiniti dealership.....yuck.

 

Yep they better get their act together..this current M5 is weak compared to the previous generations

 

This one looks nicer than the E60 but is a complete disappointment engine-wise. I think it was a complete f.u. to enthusiasts when BMW made fake engine sounds which you hear through the stereo. I mean come on, you suck at making good turbo engines and can't make any decent sounding cars with them. The previous gen M5/6/3 sounded great because they were high-revving NA engines but no more.
