Mercedes AMG SLS Black Series Is Literally The Hottest Car At The Ring
An unfortunate crash leads to a massive fire of this SLS prototype

Remember that SLS AMG Black Series test mule we showed you here? Well it clearly has had better days. Our spies at the ring caught this test mule after the flames were put out, and what was left was a mere skeleton of supercar test bed. According to Motor Authority the driver and passenger managed to walk away from the crash, long before the SLS burned to the ground.

"The crash took place at the Döttinger Höhe section of the Nürburgring, a long straight that stretches close to 1.5 miles and where it’s common for AMG models to clock speeds of close to 186 mph."

As a refresher when it hits showrooms, expect the 6.2L V8 to be pumping out over 600hp and a top speed somewhere just north of the 200mph mark.

 

Yikes... Great publicity, haha. Hope the test driver was alright.

Hi,

What a shame. The amount of work that must have gone into the car so far. If a car goes off at over 180mph, the driver walks away... I would consider that an endorsement rather than a black mark.
