the new SL is ugly, I might try the new m6, or a porsche turbo, aston maybe, but honestly the new m6 looks really good and I think it meets ur needs best

Unless they've sorted out the suspension the M6 will not handle anywhere close to the SL- thus why I mentioned the GTC. No other roadster offers a ride similar. The Aston's trunk is a joke and its ride will be similar to the M6.

I think Al is making the point that OP mentioned carrying golf clubs and many people have suggested a 911.

The first M6's haven't even really been delivered yet. What suspension issues?

A Porsche 911 Turbo seems that it would fit the bill. Not too extravagant, fast, everyday driveable.
