We have a GL550 and love it. But why hasn't MB produced an AMG version of the GL?

Splain Lucy, please. I think the ML AMG is pointless as it is primarily a soccer moms car too.

they are going to make one, I remember seeing spy pics of a GL AMG. Supposedly a 5.5L twin turbo.

ML is somewhat the size of say the Cayenne Turbo and others. The GL is a people carrier and more of a soccer mom car than the ML

Remember the R63 AMG? I've never even seen one in the flesh, a wanna be sports car/minivan?
