And the alloys I picked up for refurb. But I do not like these having tried them on, going to try and pick up a set of genuine 2pc AMG SL65 alloys next weekend instead

 

Put on the new alloys, need some better photos because they look amazing. Also had an updated 3rd brake light fitted.

wow that looks superb.. biased since my car has the 18" 5 spokes but the 65 twin spoke 19s look GREAT on your car


btw how did you lower your car?
did you change anything physical or just by a program module?

Amazing with the new wheels, Have a look at the SL65 front bumper it's a great looking mod, the car will look much more aggressive and fresh(up to date).

 

Those rimms are off the richter..i still have mine back from when i used to own a W220 S class.. i want to sell them..but still keep them for any future MB's i buy

 

I'm not surprised Artist, I think the rims look so good. Would be very interested to see how they look on a facelift SL.

I have a SL63 spoiler here - I did test fit it last night and not sure, i'll post pics later. It does look good, from the rear view looks great, but not sure if I like the side profile view.

I think the front bumper could do with a little something to bulk it out a bit. The '07 bumper or SL65 bumper would be nice but I think they are pretty bad value mods - if I go for an 07 bumper I am going to be spending $1000s to get it done and it doesn't really make that much difference.

Also same goes for the SL63 rear lights which I really like, very clean & fresh looking - but just seems bad value for such a tiny visual change buying new.

Will get some window tints soon though, also going to lower the back a little more as on the new alloys it sits about 0.5-1" too high. I also bought a media card reader to replace the CD changer, will do those things this weekend.

Thanks very much. I lowered it using the lowering links, I did intend to buy the module but then I found links for $150 so i figured may as well see if it works. They are good - easy to fit, but quite a bitch to adjust to sit right and level!

Do like it a lot but seems a lot of work & $ for not so much change. Maybe would be easier just to get the Carbon front splitter, though not sure how good that looks... need to see more pics.
