^ Very true, the terrible suspension just dies on you for no reason. Paid over 8k for suspension repairs in my SL.
Congratulations on that wonderful beast, your generation is way better than the current generation. Enjoy those TT's! ECU tune and couple of small bits and you'll be doing the quarter mile in low 11's!

I disagree, MB should've done a better job.
I wanted the old CL for the longest time, but had to reconsider because of the suspension alone.
Airmatic is shit, it should last a lifetime with no problems.
Over here each part is over $2k on the old body S class alone.

Yeah you're right but i was on the search for a company that could make me custom springs for the SL, i wanted to just elimate the airmatic and go with some standard coils. Waited two months and no answer. Benz do need a manual car and a car with a proper suspension
