I think the transmission, is good, they said it was a huge upgrade over the previous gen e63.

I like the styling alot inside and out, but i dont like the rims on the car at all for some reason.

I wish they would bring over the c63 wagon that would be a beast, almost as good as the v10 m5 wagon, or the older v8tt rs6 plus.

good i love wagons

I wonder how all that RWD torque will fare during snowy Ohio winters... Snow tires can only help so much. Is there a winter mode (2nd gear start, etc.)? I prefer sedans generally (Audi avants are an exception), but it looks good. The new wheels look light, but I prefer the other AMG split 5-spoke style.

My 2006 c-class has a winter 2nd gear start, which helps a little but good rear tires really help.

I was running semi blad fronts, and brand new really good rears, and i was powering through the snow better than my buddies trucks.

but i dont have anything near the 500 pound feet of tq the e63 has.

but ur right on with the wheels, they look like something that would be on an e550 wagon with amg sport package, not something meant especially for the e63

They nailed it with the E class this generation. I stare at every single one I see- from base to e63. I've been a lifelong BMW fan, but I might as well be blind if a new 5er goes by.

STOPPIE- can you provide any insight as to why MB does not offer a manual in their performance models? I'd even pay more and I'm sure you guys could snatch up several new customers.

My biggest concern with these high-HP, RWD cars is winter traction. I am comfortable with my driving ability (correct, braking, etc.), but AWD has a huge advantage when things get slippery (assuming winter tires in either application). It's frustrating because I LOVE the C63, but I am afraid I'd get stuck 5-6 times a year...

The sedan version of this is my favorite Mercedes right now. Wagon still looks great though.
