Ai Design: SLS AMG Overhaul

Believe it or not, the vehicle actually arrived optioned with the B&O system. Probably enough for most people out there, however there are certainly individuals which prefer something a bit more personalized. We used an Audison Bit One for this particular job as well, which allows us to custom tune the system to a client's specific tastes. The Factory B&O tweeters were certainly quite neat though!
The woofers actually sat about 1.5" higher than the factory rear parcel shelf, so some modifications to the outer sections had to be made to ensure a proper fitment. Special car was taken to retain the original speaker grills. Our upholsterers also added a quilt pattern to the center of the parcel shelf as per the clients wishes. Here she is ready to go back into the car.

Front stage was handled via a set of Morel Elate 6 3W's. We were able to locate the drivers into the original factory speaker locations, however the tweeters needed a bit of custom fab work. The two outboard speakers located at the outboard side of the seat tops were left alone as was the factory center channel speaker. Tweeter pods are finally completed along with the Radar/Laser assembly. In order to maximize our space, Ai technicians custom fabricated a mounting pod/assembly to house the 95ooci control module, while power on/off was located in the ashtray assembly. We were also able to locate the display into the rear-view mirror for a completely discreet install.

Some additional shots of the finished rear parcel shelf re-installed into the vehicle.

Some photos of the finished product, including the switch assembly located in the ashtray. Other bits include Brabus valve-controlled titanium exhaust, smoked tail lamps, and Bronze tint all around. I will try and get a video of the exhaust up soon. I must say I really wasn't a fan of this car when it first came out, but after examining it up close I've definitely been converted, especially in this particular color.

OK, i knew you guys were good but this is just awesome. Would you consider this the best job you have done to date? Unreal car to begin with and amazing attention to detail. I think most "aftermarket shops" would LOVE to do work like this --- and to be honest, i dont know many that can. Bravo to you guys.
