Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Review by Teamspeed.com
#22
The coupe looks too much off. The back looks too tall in comparison to the front. From the side, the hood looks like it's been added on to the body of the car, the back could go on in height for miles.
Anyone noticed how from the back, underside of the car, it looks like one of the tips on both mufflers (inner one) is fake (you can't see half the muffler)?
I never liked the new headlights. I think they're a bit too feminine and I believe that MB should have gone for a slight restyling of their old ones, not do this. They could have gone for the S-Class sort of look in the front, it would have given it an amazing appearance.
The black wheels with the chrome lip only seem to work on the car when the car is red. That's how it looks the part. Otherwise it's just the old 19" wheel with a huge markup.
The LED lights look like they could have used the whole bumper if the designers could. They should have gone for a narrower LED set. It looks a bit off this way.
Also, 255 rear tires with 600+ NM of torque? This is just an engineering way of saying: let's make this car fun and let's hope people woun't notice when the back steps off when it shouldn't. Couldn't the engineers try to fit 275 or so in the back? It's the one width that would start to make sense.
