(Not sure if I'm supposed to post this in General or this forum.. but I figure more people'd see it here.) So at Cars & Coffee Dallas today, there was this SLR that was, according to the owner, painted by Ferrari (he said he sent the parts there and got some deal with them to get it painted) and that makes it the only SLR in the world painted in Giallo Modena or whatever this color is.. he also says he has an SL65 in the same color and is working on getting an SLS in the same color as well.

Why doesn't he just buy a Ferrari?

 

I just don't like yellow cars.

 

The car color is slick.

But the wheels and the taillights just ruin it for me.

 

Rear lights, NO.
RIms, NO.
Giallo Modena, YES.

 

The SLR has beautiful tail lights, why "cover" it up?

Colour is quite nice, but the rest is rather tasteless.

I prefer this yellow over the baby blue but those details in yellow are so tacky.
