Our Teamspeed spies today caught another set of pictures of the hot AMG version at Germany’s challenging Nürburgring race circuit: The SLK 63 AMG! The quad-tip exhaust, sportier wheels and tires and cross drilled brake rotors tell us this SLK will wear the AMG badge. We can also see a deeper air inlet in the lower fascia. What's lurking under the hood is still a toss up. The latest 5.5-litre, twin-turbo V8 might be the engine of choice. We've also heard rumours that Mercedes is working on a twin-turbo V6. We should know for sure by next summer.

They might call it SLK55 as well, its a 50/50 so far for the name.

Marketing... a lot of new 63's are going to be 5.5L engines too, and some turbocharged.
