^Unfortunately yes, without a doubt the achilles heal of the car is the gearbox

 

We usually have 1-2 CLK BS at our facility at any give point in time. We have 4 right now. If you're ever in the area feel free to swing by our Performance Center in Huntington Beach, CA.

With regards to mods on this car, it's our evo4 Performance Package, which includes our long-tube headers, full exhaust, ECU, pulley, intake, head work, cams (I think the article may have failed to mention the cams). In addition, we installed our carbon roof, hood, brakes, 4-point roll bar and it has carbon wheels, among a few other things. A lot of work went into this car and it's truly more of a beauty in the flesh. There's a big Mercedes gathering this Saturday in OC and the car is scheduled to be there.

 

Thanks for the info Simon... is there anything that can be done to the auto trans to make it behave more like the C63? With blipping on downshifts and faster response, etc?

 

Unfortunately not without some factory support and parts.

 

^With a C63 gearbox (or one that worked in the same manner), it would be the perfect AMG!


Regardless, these cars are still a hoot
