Metallic tint to Ceramic Tint for my 2010 G55 AMG, Huper Optik

Hello,

I've had my car for 3 month's now and I didn't like the LLumar tints because they were too "bright", since the car has large windows it felt like as If I was sitting naked in the car or something its very "open living space" if you know what I mean.

I wanted some privacy so I went for the Huper Optik 40, which has 42% Visible Light Transmission and Solar Energy Reserved around 56%.

I just got the car back and it was at night but it does look very subtle and the tints really made the car look even more outstanding, it complements the interior and exterior well.

The LLumar was too bright for my liking, I think that it was due to the larger glass of the G-class compared to my previous car (Cayenne S).

So this 40 tint is the perfect match, I was going to make it 30 but that might be too dark for my liking and a hassle with the police (tint is illegal).

LLUMAR:

The front window is the realistic look, the rear look darker for some reason on my iphone camera.

Looks dark at evening but its too bright in daylight and it didnt do much protection against the heat, when I am driving on the motorway I can feel the heat on my face. I wouldn't recommend LLumar because its not worth it and the install wasn't as good as the HuperOptik. I had V-kool on the XKR, Cayenne S and currently on my SLK55. The V-Kool tint is pretty good but its prone to scratches easily compared to the other two.

HUPER OPTIK

Tomorrow I'll get more pictures in day light for more comparison.

I drove the car today, weather was 27.5 degrees Celsius and I can instantly feel the difference. With the LLumar tint I can feel the heat on my face and hands whilst driving and it didn't have the best protection, however the HuperOptik has better protection and it looks superb.

Llumar claimed 80% heat rejection when it was only TSER 23% and the Huper Optiks was TSER 55%, thats another thing to add to the list of Llumar, false advertising, they claim UV rejection not the total solar energy rejection which is the only thing that matters in Kuwait with our sun. They have a great product and great service with decent prices, I just hope they continue at this level, they now have a loyal customer.

Here are some pictures,

Good call on the Huper! I'm changing the tint on my M3 to Huper very soon.

Nice man , I just did a similar thing to mine...
Darkest possible tints in the rear windows, worst decision ever - I can't see anything when reversing! And I don't want to rely on the camera! haha
