It's been raining for the past couple of days and expected to continue till Sunday, got out and went to the garage to start my SLK55 Kleemann, love the cold start specifically ay 7am (my neighbours hate me).
I put the top down and off my topdown drive starts, I left home and drove the car gently till I got to the highway. I took the highway towards the Airport and back, nice long road with few camera's, managed to hit 240kmh-260km/h numerous times until I encountered a jerk in a corolla occupying the left lane driving 100km/h.
Next month marks my cars 5th year of ownership, honestly from the bottom of my hear this has been a fun project in the making. The car I had bought 5 years ago started off with drop in filters, didn't think I see the day I've got it fully modified with a supercharger. I've got everything installed except the camshafts, the car reaches 155mph with extreme ease.
The torque in my SLK55 is just crazy 1,500rpm there is gobs of torque, seriously when I had it dyno'd when I first installed the car it made 413 torque to the wheels as apposed to 400whp at 38 degree's weather and 19% humidity. I need to dyno it now and see how much it makes.
The roads are still a bit damp, I launched it with the esp on and it did pretty well. The shift from 2-3 was very violent as the esp was kicking in, so violent is that it pushed me back to the seat. Unfortunately on the opposite lane heading towards the other direction was a Police car, so I made a run for it at 260km/h and took the first exit before I spend my weekend without the SLK55 or left with a hefty fine.
I am happy to say that the SLK55 has been nothing but a charm to own and the only faulty part through out its 5 year ownership was the steering sensor angle, mass airflow sensor and TSB valve change(nothing too major).
It is absolutely sensational, its a sports car and nothing short of amazing. The stock car didn't cut the mustard but I've made it now more Supercar than sportscar.
I've always been a fan of AMG and will always be, my next car wont be an AMG but for now two is great. My next car is an exotic, eyeing on a Ferrari in the next couple of years.
I am very grateful for owning such a nice car and I hope I can enjoy it as my "garage queen" for many years to come.
I hope you enjoyed my narrative.

To truly describe this car its a 427 Cobra with esp,7speed auto, abs and a folding metal roof.
Please excuse the video(IPhone Camera) it didn't come out properly, just focus on the noise.

Too bad you sold it, you could of installed the Supercharger for 10grand and have yourself a small car with 525hp.
Yes I liked yours, though it was pretty much the best 55 on the forum on SLKworld until I got modification syndrome
