Thicker Steering Wheel

Hello,

I've recently drove my friends Brabus C-class, it has the Brabus Steering wheel and after driving it I noticed how thin my steering wheel feels on my SLK55, I've been eying this aftermarket steering wheel. I've contacted the vendor and waiting for their pricing and options.

Anyways I'd appreciate your thoughts, does it look like a substantial improvement over my oem steering wheel.

Aftermarket (Modified OEM)

Should I get it like the above with perforated sides, alcantra top and bottom or full leather with perforated ?

OEM my interior,

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Nice ?

I would for sure get the brabus steering wheel, especially with the flat bottom thats what I always loved about the audi rs4 wheel. and i would get the alcantra as-well, the leather is nice but alcantra has much better feel, but it can wear easily.

The one pictured above isnt a brabus steering wheel, it is a DCT motorsports steering wheel. I like alcantra but it wears as you said, so I prefer full leather.

I'll be waiting for their reply, cant wait to put this order in.

Get the full perforated leather one and maybe have the bits at 3 and 9 o'clock done in red leather to match the seats.

Most tuners (Mansory, RENNtech, TechArt, and - I'm sure - Brabus) all use MP design stuff. You can check out the product here: MP Design & Technik GmbH

Thank you, checked them out. I've emailed them already for this Steering wheel but in complete leather.

Thicker steering wheels are a must for most makes. OEM often feels like you're driving a bus.

The only perfect oem steering wheel thickness is an LP560, other wise Porsche, Mercedes, BMW etc mostly thin steering wheels.

Just an idea, paint the lower parts and sides to match the alumium on the shifter.
