Thanks. Unfortunately you are too far away for me to take it in for service. I just hope that the switch module is the same as some other MBZ cars. Otherwise, this could be another 2 month wait.

It is not the headroom that is the problem right now. It is the legroom.

Got it temporarily fixed at my local dealer. They plugged in a switch they removed from another car and moved the seat for me. Now they have to order a new switch and I will have to go back when they get it so they can have it installed.

Many people on AMG Private Lounge suggested that MBZ would do something to compensate for all the anguish I have had to deal with. You would think they would do something about this, but we will see. BMW is very good about things like that. Last month my 750 was in service for 10 days while I was driving their loaner, and the dealer sent a request to BMW Financial and they comped me an entire month of lease payment (way over $1000). I will let you guys know if Mercedes' customer service is as good as BMW. Good info for all of us for any future purchases of high-end cars.

Got it fixed! Local dealer plugged in a switch to move it for me so I could drive it, then arranged for a new part to be installed the next morning. They told me it would take an hour. Went there next morning. They worked on it immediately and had me wait in the lounge. To my pleasant surprise, the tech came back to get me only 30 mins later. The car was all done and waiting at the driveway parked away from all the other cars.

Service was first class. I have been taking my ML63 there for years but I do believe the SLS just gets better service than anything else right now.

It has been raining for the past few days but I will take some pics as soon as the weather gets better.
