Finally removed the matte wrap on the car. Back to Designo Diamond Silver

the designo silver has a hint of a blue?
ur car a has a light bluish color

 

I like everything so far except the front bumper, please get the SL65 front looks better. Btw diamond silver is not designo its standard mb.

 

Did you ever consider a matte white wrap? I would be interested to see how that looks - especially with the modifications you have I think it might look great.

Has anyone got a photo of a matte white SL55?

 

Best thing you've done was remove that wrap. I think it looks way better without it.

Are you sure? My MB dealer has told me that the color is a designo finish. And last week I painted my front and back bumpers I know there are two different shades of silver, Brilliant silver and Diamond silver

White would look great, but it wouldnt match the interior of my car. The all interior panels are coated in the same finish as the exterior when the car was sent to Fab-Design. (one of the reasons i removed the black wrap)

Hmmm a 65 and/or an 07 '55 bumper would look nice on the car, but thats not really what I wanted on the car. I wanted something very different and very out of the box, thats why i went with the custom front. But if there ever comes a time when the front needs to be changed, I have to admit with mohammed, the SL65 front would be drop dead gorgeous

 

^ your car IS unique bro and i'm sure in real life it looks menacing with the wheels and front bumper. the colour is awesome, i have not seen it on any SL or any MB for that matter as it appears in the pic.
tbh i don't know how you guys prefer the 65 front bumper lol, yes it definitely looks more aggressive but the squares on the sides kill the curves for me. btw how much are 65s worth these days?

anyway your kuwaiti 55 sibling says hello! cleaned and refurbished the passenger side headlight. needs new fogs (or current fogs to be scraped/cleaned) but i don't want to do that with the thought of the `07 bumper as a possibility
