2011 Mercedes-Benz E65 AMG ??

German insiders have hinted the release of a new 2011 Mercedes E65 AMG. The new AMG family member uses a 6.0 liter V12 producing 600hp and 737lb-ft of torque. The power will be converted to the rear wheels. The rumour has not been confirmed by Mercedes-Benz.

Expect the sports car to be available on the market later this year. A price of around € 150,000 is speculated.

If it is put into production- doubtful it'll make it to the US. Not much, if any- demand.

Either that, or they'll have to cancel the S class AMG's.
Benz has been competing with themselves a lot lately, i saw the new E class coupe, and wondered what was the point of the CL class still being in production.

Could be true, I really cant see why they need this engine if they have the new 5.5L Twin Turbo producing 540 and 570 with the pp package.

+1

I doubt they'll cancel the S63. That car has been more successful then the E63 for sales in the US. What's bizarre is the CL actually blazed a trail, but the problem is it needs to bring the game in at a different level then the current body. It's just boring. Looks like a Toyota or something.

The new E Coupe is handsome and sharp looking.

I don't see that happening anytime soon. The S-Class is such an established brand, it can't be without its flagship. Different customer base, although the vehicle's performance is very similar.

They are introducing a C-class coupe not a small 3 door like the current one in europe but a smaller E-class coupe.

It is just like Audi, making the A5 four door, what are they thinking? What is the point of the A6?
