all double clutch transmissions are around 100ms fast...

and even if the Bimmer was a few seconds faster you would not feel it

Much faster. The advertised figures are higher than they are in reality.

The GR6 twin-clutch transmission in the Nissan GTR shifts gears in 50ms.

they always say "in a few ms"

but if the Scud shifts in 50ms,the MCT and DKG can`t be noticeably faster...

The thing to remember is that in a dual-clutch transmission, engine power is always going to the wheels. If the full shift takes 100ms, it's somewhat irrelevant, because 50ms into the shift, power is still getting through (albeit with two clutches slipping). In a conventional single-clutch paddle shift, there's a period where the flywheel is in contact with nothing, and how long that takes matters. That never happens with a dual-clutch assembly.

well said

that was my first thought...it does not really matter
but I think the shifting process takes 50-100ms...
but again the car is always pulling so it does not matter

the SL63 and E63 MCT is fast and smooth ...no jerking which I actually miss...the DCT (M3) box is a little harsher but more fun.
