I have looked at the Brabus Monoblock S in a brushed finish. Should I go with a 19' wheel?

Dana, your old MB is gorgeous, now we know why your son like's the lambo doors. Seeing this made me dig into some old pics from the days I used to frequent MBworld (I used to have an obsession with the new S class, w221, and they had the best info wayy before it came out). Here is an SLK with brabus monoblocks :

Took some PICs about a month ago. Sort of lousy PICs I took from my phone cam. The weather has been so crappie I haven't time to take some nicer PICs with my SLR. I like the car and it pretty much has every option for the new E class.

Dude. I remember those pictures very well from MBWorld. I frequented that site for a couple of years.

That SLK had a full Kleemann kit on it if I am not mistaken. It also had the vertical doors like mine.

I loved that little beast. It had right around 500 bhp to the wheels and was small and light as a feather. It took off like a rocket. The old Brabus in Newport Beach - pre Claus E. Brabus - put it all together for me. I even did the engine internals. It never gave me a problem.

The mechanic's name was David Hikes. He was incredible. I think he went on to work at EVOMS or something like that. I really liked that guy. I hope he did well.

I drove it for 3 years and let her go.

Thanks for the compliments!

I had 19" HRE 841s on mine then switched to 20" 843s.

It's an iconic car imo, wouldn't put on aftermarket wheels on it unless they were BBS or HRE. What about this look? CLS 55 wheels.
