So, my son has this friend of his at school (8th grade) who tells him that his neighbor just took delivery of a nice new mercedes called an SL65 AMG Black Series.

My son and I both doubted him to his face and then asked him to take some pictures and show us.

We were just so sure that he would bring shots back of a standard SL65.

We were wrong . . . .



My son is going over to the guy's house on Saturday morning to get some more pics.

Man, I felt so stupid. But I was also happy to be wrong!!

The license plate is from a dealer - Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach. Man, that guy must be connected and PAID UP!!

The car I want most after the 722, got to see one in the same colour last week. Stunning car in person and boy its huge.

My friend just returned from Dubai and sent me some pics of SL65 BS he spotted there. He told me that he absolutely changed his mind about this car after he saw it in flesh. Funny, but fact, I havent seen any of those beasts in Germany.

This car has some interesting color - close to Lambo battleship gray.

That car has so much presence. Amazing!!!

Still not sure if the SL65 BS or the CLK DTM is the ultimate road going modern Benz (I put the SLR in a different category). I'd be happy with either
