So exactly what was so horrible? You can always buy the carbon door panels and the race seats from Germany if you want them. The body is just low, wide and the sickest MB I have ever seen.

The car looks insane in white. Some nice tint on those windows and you are rocking.

For 300k I didnt feel the fit and finish was there. For example the paint on this car was terrible (dealer even admitted it), the interior was not much different than a regular sl, and there are two very noticeable "hollow" spots on the trunk that supposedly has something to do with the spoiler. Just my opinion.

If you're keen on a MB, I'd probably get a CLKBS and have the extra money for something else.

Get a regular DB9 to cruise in and save some money.

Im in love with the wild look of the BS. Hate the wheels though...needs something ultra concave.

In all sincerity, I'd cancel and buy a 599 GTB with 4,000 miles and pocket a fistful of $$$'s.

Here's a response post that I made on another board yesterday after seeing the SL Black at Park Place:

I touched one today, it made me feel .... nothing.

Sorry, but for $304k it just didn't knock me out. It's definitely better looking than McLaren MB. Nice cf trim on the chin spoiler and rear end but the pistons on the retractable rear spoiler are painted black ... I think the chromed pistons on the 911TT look better.

The wheels are really nice, not sure what they weigh but they must be lighter than my CLK Black.

The seats look like someone studied at Ferrari and came up with an MB version.

Nice cf inside too but not a radical enough departure from the normal SL interior.

I bet it sound fantastic and looks great on the move but I'm not feelin' it.(That's okay though, I'm not a potential buyer, so MB shouldn't care.)

Looks are killer.
Interior is outdated.
Serious car.
But $300k for old technology in a new form......
Maybe CLK63 BS all over?
If you just have to have it....
Buy it.

It looks sick though , the seats are ugly , this car didn't do it for me in the beginning , it's awesome looking , fast ect but something is not right , maybe the price =D
