Agree, but as a fellow Mercedes head, i am asking you, how would you compare it to the SLR?
To me, the SLR is the sexiest, best looking Mercedes ever built. It just sucks that they built so many.

The SLR is in another league, its a combination of comfort and power a supercar that is sleek and gorgeous. The SLR is more desireable to me but the SL65 BS to me is a collectors item, its an outrageous machine that is made for AMG fanatics.

SLR
SL65 BS AMG

300 SL gullwing or roadster

1970's 6.9l S-class

i think it's fantastic and very desireable,to all the "it's over priced" brigade - the sl bs is a unique exclusive niche proposal not aimed at bargain collectors who will "rather have" x+y+z (why haven't you already?) but chances are that the sl bs buyer picks it as an alternative to slr or aswell as slr,otherwise i think it is aimed at brabus type conversions per performance and price.

Yes it is infact, would you rather get a Brabus 730 HP SL V12 or the SL65 black series which is 670hp but with its better aerodynamics, non hydraulic suspension, fixed roof and weight savings imagine what tuners can get out of it if they got 130hp from a SL65 with new turbo's, camshafts, ecu upgrade.

 

Agreed - If I could afford an SL65 Black, I would probably have an S8, DBS, etc. already. I was just having fun playing in fantasy land.
