I have to say the way little vid clips are integrated into the articles this is my favorite magazine out there. Well done to the creators!

 

Just been re-reading this DJ as I drove the C63 over the weekend.

The engine in that thing is absolutely ridiculous. First gear is actually pretty slow, as with traction on, it keeps holding it back, and with it off its useless. But once you shift into 2nd gear, holy torque monster. The thing just pulls and pulls.

But i hate the gearbox. If only they had put a proper DCT/DSG style box in it, probably couldn't though.

Overall it just didn't feel as dynamic as the M3. Bit of under-steer on turn in, and maybe felt a bit clumsy mid corner, although maybe that is been a bit harsh. But it certainly doesn't feel as sure footed as the M3.

And i wondered where Chris fro Autocar went. Now i know.
