Getting music off an Ipod?

I found my old Ipod, which is synced with another computer(which is dead). How can I get the music off the Ipod and onto my pc?

I just had to do this. iRip. 50 songs free. $20 unlimited songs. Works well.

iRip 2 – iPod and iPhone music transfer software for Mac or PC – The Little App Factory

After I rip the songs from it, can I then sync it with my current Itunes?

Also how do I set it up to where it won't delete the Ipod when I plug it in?

Download the application. It will tell you to plug in the device. The music list will then be displayed. You have the option of moving the songs to iTunes or a separate folder. It will not delete anything.

In iTunes, just make sure you have it set to not sync the music files.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I used a coupon code. "thankyou25" = $15 for the app.

If it's an iPod (rather than an iPhone), you don't need to buy some silly app to pull the music off.

Plug it in, open Terminal (Applications/Utilities) and run the following commands:

cd /Volumes/IPODNAME/iPod_Control
rsync -r Music ~/Desktop

The files will appear in a "Music" folder on your desktop once the command completes (returns to shell prompt).

Obviously, replace IPODNAME with the name of the iPod.

Once the files are moved, you can just drag the whole folder into iTunes to import.

It's a previous gen Ipod Nano.

Will Itunes need to be closed when doing that, Simba?
