Hard Drive space on MBP

The drive in my MBP is full. I have moved all my photo's, movies and music to my external drive but it is still full. Is there an easy way to find large files or programs that aren't being used anymore? I have downloaded lots of stuff over the years and don't use much. I need to get rid of half the crap on my drive but want to find an easy way to do so without messing up the stuff I do use.

Any apps or processes that I should look at to make this easier?

Man, for being so intuitive and simple, these Apple computers sure have a lot of needling issues.

Oh well, Simba needs a job I guess.

Didn't you hear? Simba died shortly after the iPhone 4S launch from his battle with colon cancer. They just had his memorial recently.

I don't know if it works or exists for Macs, but I use SequoiaView. Perfect to spot what's taking up space.

The finder feature works for me... Just upgraded to lion and the feature has been improved vastly.

Couldn't you do the equivalent of *.* search and then list by file size, after you unhid all file format. Like in Winders?
