That's why they have so much cash in the coffers. Doesn't hurt that they use Chinese slave labor to keep the costs down. Love the irony of all these left, I'm so trendy, I'm do anti corporation types using a phone made by the biggest company by slave labor.

"Slave" labor? Last I heard they were paid pretty well compared to other workers in the area.

if i understand correctly, jobs pushed hard to bring manufacturing back to the US. however, union labor and (lack of) government subsidies were big obstacles.

Maybe saying slave was a bit harsh, but definitely sweat shop mentality. I still thinks it's terrible, those who disagree can send their kids there for work (probably the same time warren buffet sends a check to the IRS for how bad he feels about not paying enough)

I would much rather they were made in the US, but the simple fact of the matter is very few people are going to pay $2,000 for an iPhone.

As well, Gawker is about as reliable a news source as a raving moonbat on a street corner.

I agree, I was merely pointing out why labor was $8. I wouldn't use gawker for anything I wanted to make an important issue, but they did reference a report that apple publishes itself. Moreover, I find it comical how many of the people that buy them support labor unions and don't want trade with other counties.
