iPad 2 WiFi not working

For the past two days the internet/wifi on my iPad hasn't been working. The wifi works fine on my phone/laptop but it won't work at all on my iPad. I've tried restarting my iPad and turning the wifi on/off several times, and nothing is working.

It's only a month old and I have no idea what could be wrong with it. Any ideas?

Oh, and if it helps it still picks up the signal, it just won't load pages/app store/anything.

It happened to me on my Mac once. Try emptying cache, if it doesn't work reset the browser.

Reset your router, if it doesn't work I can't help you anymore.

What router are you using? It seems that you're not alone, a lot of iPad2 owners have experienced the same. Most of the solutions suggest fault of the router.

Almost certainly a network configuration issue. I assume the wifi base in question isn't an airport, and as they say, there's yer problem.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I ended up getting it working by turning off the iPad, then resetting my router and turning the iPad/wifi back on. Just doing each one on it's own didn't seem to work.

Does anyone know why this happens? As I said, my other wifi enabled devices worked fine, and the iPad did pick up the signal, it just wouldn't 'use' it.

If it joins the network SSID but cannot reach any hosts, the problem is probably at the IP level.

- Router isn't sending out DHCP info or is configured for static addressing.
- iPad isn't set to use DHCP, or properly configured for static addressing.
- Router has MAC address filtering/security enabled and the iPad host isn't authorized.
- Router has an incorrect gateway specified and is giving bad data to the iPad.
- Router has some weird form of WPA encryption enabled or is otherwise misconfigured.

Any of a dozen reasons.
