Oh god, no! She's small enough not to fall out but big enough to have some head control. I'm very aware of the danger of them falling out which is why she's never more than a quick hands reach away. Her flailing arms were the culprit here.

Well, small miracle. I reinserted the battery and fired it up....it works! No more annoying beep, keyboard fully functional. May still take it into the Apple Store to run diagnostics on it to make sure, but hallelujah! Thanks all for the input!

iSkin ProTouch FX for MacBook/Pro/Air - Features

Tried a couple and liked this one the best. Soft touch and molded for the chiclet keys. Also lets the keyboard backlight through at night.

^^^I have this one too and it's the best of the lot. Doesn't feel "sticky" like all the other ones I've tried.
