Ordering a new MBP - any reason to wait?

My old MBP has pissed me off for the last time (too slow for my needs), so I'm ordering a new one right now:

15"
Hi-res anti-glare
2.8 i7
8GB RAM
128GB SSD

I assume the anti-glare is the same screen as the older MBP (non-glossy)?

With the release of the 2.8, I would guess no refresh is coming soon. Correct?

Thanks guys.

You should be good for a while. I'm in the same boat but am going to wait it out til the next design refresh as there's not too much wrong with mine.

Thanks, I saw that earlier, but it seems to offer contradictory info. I imagine the release of the 2.8 means they have nothing radically different coming out.

Also, another quick question - how does one easily transfer files from one Mac to another? I'd like to transfer my iTunes library - everything else I'll probably install from scratch.

Mmmmm, i7 nom nom nom! I think that your set-up will be competetive for many years ahead so don't worry about it. It's got the good batteries, sweet screen and awesome processor.

Wow, matte screen is once again available?

I've been toying around the idea of going for the new MBP. My previous model is still running great (3 years old), but I love a fresh computer and that unibody.

MacRumors says that there may be a new update because it has been along time since the last major revision. That being said, they also say that the new processors that came out indicate that there probably won't be a major revision for awhile. The best thing about my powerbook back in the day was the matte screen - GO for the hi res anti glare option!
