I replaced my old air with the new 11" one. The new one feels so much better and doesn't slow down after using it for a while like the old one did.

Luxvelocity is an unknown quantity at this point
It s a great computer if you are looking for the thinnest lightest thing on the market. it does not have a dvd drive though, meaning you can't make cd's etc. it depends what you are looking for.

Replaced my old Air with the new one. As Orlando states much quicker, no heat and the battery life is unreal. No BL Keyboard...oh well...I have also owned 3 Macbook Pros and an iBook and the new Air is superior in form and function for a lite on the go machine. Makes the iPad useless IMO

My previous generation Air has a backlit keyboard. Are you telling me they left this feature off the new one?

I don't see the benefit of having an ultra thin laptop. In my opinion, the standard macbook is small enough.

Unless, of course, you plan on storing it in a yellow envelope.

Do you find the 11" screen big enough? I briefly played with one at Best Buy the other day, and thought the screen might be a little small.

I'm thinking I'd rather spend $300 more for an Airbook than an iPad.

And is the Beatles available on iTunes really that big a deal? I couldn't care less.

When you are on an airplane twice a week, every week, all that security, etc., the lightweight is a blessing.

I just picked up a 13" basic one today. I don't need a lot of storage or memory since it'll mostly be used for Teamspeed, porn, and some games on the road. Once in while I might do work on it. It's such a great, small package. Which sleeves are you guys using? I'm looking at these two:

SFBags - WaterField Designs - Suede Jacket Sleeve - MacBook Pro Slipcase - MacBook Sleeve - Ultrasuede - Minimalist Sleeve - TSA Friendly Laptop Bag
MacBook Cases, MacBook Air Sleeves, MacBook Backpacks, iPad Cases

Only thing I'm concerned about is lack of expandability. Not an issue though if you plan on upgrading before it comes up.

Useful if you have other Macs at your disposal. It simply doesn't work as a standalone.
Great for traveling, making iWork or Office documents or for watching a movie.

Don't use it for anything else. Sucks at night without the backlit keyboard and there is a substantial lack of usable USB ports.
