Turning in my Apple fan-boi card.

I can't stand it anymore. I cannot have a conversation that is more than 4 minutes long without dropping the call on my iPhone 3GS. Ever since I "upgraded" to OS 4.0, it has gotten worse. Comical actually. The other day I was talking to someone, and had to call them back 6 times within 10 minutes. Unacceptable.

Maybe it will be better if I upgrade to the iPhone 4, you say? I tried to do that. I ordered one over the phone a month ago. Well, it was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it didn't. So I called apple to check on it. The CS rep told me that I had cancelled my order 2 weeks ago. WTF! Umm, no I didn't. Why would I cancel an order I've been waiting for? The best she could do was put in another order, and I'd have to wait another month. No way. I'm done.

So, I think I'll go check out the Droid X at Verizon today.

Anybody have one?

Are you sure the phone drops the connection ? Have you tried a different phone ? Maybe its your network!

Sucks man.

I had the droid Eris; worked well all the way up until ..............the update. LOL

Check out Droid X or Hero...or something. Most noticable difference is the way the phone flows, from text to apps to emails. Unfortunately, the iPhone is the most intuitive for this.

I loved my droid right up until it updated the other day to version .2. Don't get me wrong it is still a great phone, but not nearly as customizable as it used to be. I don't have any problems with service.

Interesting. I didn't know there was a software update.

I'm in Canada and my iphone has zero issues. My business partner in Phoenix who has the same phone has terrible service. Typical when we chat to have him drop 3 calls during a 15 minute convo.

I played with a prototype Blackberry Torch a month or so ago and the thing is really amazing. Their new OS is fantastically better than where they were at previously. Might be worth a look?

Really? It seems like everybody says it is a big improvement. I still haven't got the update for 2.2. What exactly dont you like about it?

If you can stand paying 150 bucks for something that makes your phone work like it's supposed to, google AT&T microcell. It will solve your reception issues in your home....
