International Caller ID on Iphone

Is there any way to fix the caller id for hong kong? My iphone on rogers here in canada drops the 852 international code for HK and just delivers the remaining 8 digits, assuming the first three is the area code. So my calls from HK show up as being from MD (240).

I have filtering software on my iphone, it would be best if the phone could flag these as int'l. (I have my phone set not to ring at night/dinner, but if asia's calling i want to take it.

TIA,

Have you seen the international code appear on other handsets? I'm pretty sure that's a carrier interoperability issue rather than iPhone specific.

Would it not be possible to get the phone to recognize all 8 digit calls as intl? (local calls are all either 10, (###) ***-XXXX or 11, 1(###) ***-XXXX digits.

I'm sure it's possible but it's up to the carriers, not Apple, to sort out

I'm sure its possible to write software for all 8 digit numbers to be treated as LD, that's software on user end.
