Firefox and Safari Keep Crashing.

Just started to happen, and they both do it. No other programs seem to be crashing.

Any ideas? They are both latest updates. Running 10.4.11.

Got a similar issue.

Recently started but my entire system stops working and i get an endless beach ball. The only way to get out is to hold the power button down to shut down. Mine works for about 10-20 min then repeats. Safari works till then most of the time but sometimes it will start crashing and will continue to crash till the system freezes and Firefox just stopped working completely.

Although mine has had an ongoing issue, and all that is noted/done is i keep getting new hard drives... Twice it just stopped reading the hard drive altogether.

Happy i bought it with insurance through Best Buy, so all repairs done at no cost. I do love my Mac, guess i've just had bad luck with my unit.

Hope u get it fixed. Our issues might be related but probably not.

I've had a similar problem with Firefox. It will sporadically crash without warning.

I had lots of problems with Safari and particular facebook pages, the Drivers Republic site, and a few others fwiw. None with Firefox, however.

I am not using a Mac day to day, but I am using Firefox, and it does keep crashing. Obviously, the newest release has some bugs.

Don't run the newest release of anything. Run the latest stable release.

Safari 4.0.2 is very stable. As you're on an earlier version of OS X, it's possible you're still on 3.x, or a 4.x beta. If those are the only two apps affected, it's likely an issue with the apps themselves.
