Just picked up the new white mac book that just came out for $949 ($50 student discount). Came with a free $100 hp printer and an 8 gig Ipod Touch. Basically has the same hardware and software of the $1299 one but doesn't have the aluminum casing and the LED LCD screen. I couldn't justify an extra $300 for the added cosmetics. I love it, never will I go back to PC. After hearing so many horror stories with vista and since my old laptop (a gateway) just recently died after 5 decent years of service I figured now would be a great time to switch. MAC > PC.

Anyone else make the switch recently?



--if anyone wants to know I think the free printer deal is only till july 20th and the free ipod deal is till september, but they always run these promos around school time.

I switched to a MacBook a little over 2 years ago. I will never go back to a PC.

I am constantly amazed at how easy, fast and intuitive everything is on my Mac when compared to a PC. After two years, my lower-level Macbook is still going strong and is as fast as ever at booting up and loading programs.
