Might return iPhone...
Well, I never liked the iPhone but waited till the newest one and am pleasantly surprised in the quality of the calls and the speed for internet.
That being said, I am just not loving the touchscreen..The device is of course incredible but I don't like holding it and i don't like touching it..
I have been through many devices and realize I need a flip phone for calls and another device for email and texting..The treo 750 was ok but problems with Mac and it was freezing up a bit..I like it but dont love it.
The Blackberry 8870 was nice but keys too close together and i found it hard to use.
Thinking Blackberry Curve...is it the same OS as the 8870 or 30,I forget the model..
any suggestions?

I use an iPhone for my personal line, and a BB 8330 Curve for work. The BB is the better smartphone for work use, by far. The CDMA air interface is much faster, lets me ssh into remote servers from the phone, and get decently speedy internet access from my laptop over bluetooth when need be. Great OS, very solid, great app support.
That said, the iPhone still has the better UI, and the best browser on the market. The BB browser (including Opera) are complete dreck compared to Safari. The iTunes integration is also nice, much better than BB's horrid desktop software.

I agree the UI is sweet on the iPhone but the touchscreen which is personal preference is just not doing to for me..I also don't like the literal feel of the phone but maybe a case might help that. Can't beat it for music of course but that's not much of a factor, I have a nano and video iPod.
Internet access is pretty decent with the iPhone but while I do like that, it's not the main purpose for me..I like to be able to use AIM and email..and manage contact information.
I do really like the ability to sync all computers with the iPhone and suppose you can't easily do this with the curve.

Palm Desktop is much better on the Mac-- before I got my current BB I had a Treo 650 which I loved. The ability to tether the phone is generally enabled or disabled at the carrier level. I know Sprint allows it and it works well.

Works pretty well so far as bluetooth connectivity goes. As I said, the desktop software is crap-- BB uses a tweaked version of PocketMac, which I hate beyond description, but it'll do the job of syncing contacts and such.

So SImba...if you had to choose between the Curve and the Treo 750, which would you choose?

Bold looks interesting but the keys look close together as the 8830, which I really didn't like for that reason.

So, BB for me, but it's worth saying, not by much. If I didn't have to talk to Exchange stuff, it would be a harder decision.

One thing I hate about the iPhone, is that you can't type & look were you're walking. Maybe it's just me ...
