From 911 to 911..... the story of being mentally retarded
having a few 911's and some other toys,... i decided the best choice of cars in 2012 would be the new 991....

did a natural progression from 911 platform to the GTR platform (because we are all curious)

Then wanted something Faster

But then missed having Doors

But then realized why I sold it originally (Interior) and got something built much faster than AA3 and GT-R... but with that feel that i never got from any of the other cars.

so looking back, i will say... 911 is probably the best car platform made... dont believe all the hype surrounding other vehicles!

What are your thoughts about the 991 vs. the 997? I realize that one is a turbo and the other is a NA. I know that there are a lot of threads about this. Still would like to know your thoughts on some of their differences. Thanks.

991 chassis is amazing, almost too great.. needs TTt or GT3 power to make it come alive, otherwise it's too good of a chassis for the power/susp.
997 is better to have fun with, has more character. 991 is better for trips.

Thanks for the reply. I originally had 997.1 TT manual. I traded that in for a Panamera 4S. Did not have it for long and went back to a 997.2 TT. I had the option to buy a new 991 4S but opted to buy a lightly used 997.2. TT which was priced similarly. I also felt that the 997 had an overall better driving experience and was more fun to drive. Both look great and the 991 sounds even better, but in the end I also went with the 997. It seems most of the threads I have read in other forums about 991 vs. 997, drivers have favored the 991 and for good reason. I guess to each his own. Thanks for the reply.

The Atom must have been a blast, although the most recent 997TT is probably a monster!
Had a go in the passenger seat of an Ariel Atom two years ago, around a local track. However it was supercharged and had an output of around 400-450hp (tuned, ofc). I swear to god, the smile from that ride remains on my face as of this day! Sickest car I've ever been in!
