350Z to ??????

I am considering replacing my 2005 Nissan 350Z with a Porsche. The 350Z has twin turbos pushing 575 rwhp @ 19lbs boost, KW3 coilovers & Stoptech 6 piston BB's among other mods.

Not looking for a major project car, rather a solid mechanical specimen with a decent interior in very good working order.

Looking for a comparable ride (firm, stable & responsive)and performance level (strong acceleration and power.)

With a budget of about $40k what would be the "best year" with most hp, performance, ease/cheap cost of modding, style etc.. I could expect to get????? What would you suggest???

Thanks!!!

I would get a Cayman S and throw a TPC turbo kit and intall the RSS handling package on it.....these things really are under powered monsters that just need a HP bump.

I Think I would go with a 996 TT if your looking for mostly power. I would also test a Cayman S and a 997, it's going to come down to personal preference. I would test drive each one to get a better feel of what your looking for then go from there.

I think I like the idea of a 996TT. In general what could I expect in my price range??

If you are open to other brands, the BMW 1M would also be a great car to consider, albeit a bit hard to find.

Lol @ a 1m. Get a 996TT. You'll miss the power if you don't.

I'm really interested in buying something in the Porsche family; I like the suggestion of a 996TT. I will research cost of maintaining & repairing this beast. Thanks!!!
