SharkWerks TechArt 991 with HRE P40SC and Brembos underneath

This agate grey SharkWerks project 991S graced the cover of Total 911 Magazine Issue 97, titled "991 Perfection" but that was round one. For a second helping an even lighter-weight set of HRE P40SC wheels and larger 380mm Brembo Brake kit was on the menu:

Just a quick test fit of the satin black HRE P40SC's...

Factory 4-piston rears:

And 6-piston fronts straight off of a Cayenne:

The Brembo big brake kit laid out. Including 380mm replacement rotors, SS lines et al:

Not only are the new rotors significantly larger vs stock but their two piece design (aluminium hat) is also lighter of course. So for those of us 911-weight watchers out there.... here come the fronts at 20.1 pounds:

vs stock 23.8 pounds

Front measurement

vs stock:

Front assembly installed:

Now the rears at come in at 17.1 pounds:

vs stock at 19.33 pounds

Rear measurement:

vs Stock rear:

Larger calipers and improved piston design does add a bit more weight back again. The new front 6-piston Monoblock Brembo yellow calipers come in at 12.1 pounds:

vs stock 11.4 pounds:

And the new 4-piston rears come in at 9.44 pounds:

vs stock 8.8 pounds:

Rear assembly also installed:

The newly released 991 TechArt roof spoiler was also added in addition to the full Type 1 conversion:

Time to go bed some brakes in following Brembos "break-in" procedure:

And a few beauty shots of HRE's satin black 20-inch P40SC Monoblok wheel:

The fronts:

And lowered with TechArt springs:

The full monty:

Cheerio!
