Carrara White GTS gets the White Shark Treatment
This local daily driven 2012 carrara white GTS came into us for a for shark-sized afternoon lunch. On the menu was the SharkWerks exhaust, the EVOMSit software and a custom TechArt steering wheel with a TechArt paddle kit conversion to boot.
In she comes and ready for surgery!
Off with that stock steering wheel and cumbersome button shift mechanism. The TechArt paddle conversion replaces the buttons with proper up and down side paddles so no more "palming" into the wrong gear!
The ongoing TechArt wheel made by Germany's finest includes alcantara and silver stitching plus a sporty flat bottom:
And on the car, notice the alcantara is also perforated:
The TechArt paddle shifter kit also comes in matching alcantara:
The GTS' come outfitted with the factory PSE option but we can still improve upon the stock center exhaust design with our freer-flowing Shark-pipe design. The sound is more aggressive with the button turned on and still civilized with the button "off".
And the SharkWerks exhaust installed it also saves 9 pounds off of the rear end:
A video showing the SharkWerks exhaust on a PSE equipped GTS model:
Meanwhile for improved response and power a 91 octane EVOMSit tune is applied on the bench:
Ready to go home!

As fine as the PDK 997.2 Carrera GTS is in stock form we often like to give it a couple of finishing touches including the Shark Werks exhaust and the TechArt PDK paddle kit conversion. This silver 2011 Cabriolet specimen did just that for improved sound and a less cumbersome shift set-up.
Up on the hoist she goes:
The stock center exhaust is a bit of a kill joy even with the PSE system:
The SharkWerks exhaust installed in its place is also lighter by 9 pounds. It retains the sport button function for quiet/stealthy and aggro/fun modes:
It also fits the stock PSE tips:
Those annoying stock shifter buttons that get in the way and cause you to palm and upshift when you actually require a downshift. They're about to go bye bye:
The steering wheel controls are disassembled and once the TechArt kit installed one can still use the factory radio and other wheel controls:
And installed with one side for upshifts and one for downshifts- with paddles:
And ready for home...
