Do you have any idea what the MSRP was on the 991 base your friend received $10K off on? I'm in the market now and trying to decide if I can make this stretch. If I could get a low optioned base for $10K off I think I would make a move shortly. Cheers. Thanks for all the great info.

$103K and he got it for $93K. He was trading in a 997 carerra too so who knows how the numbers truly worked out. He seems pleased with both the trade money they gave and the price of the new car

 

Ah, the pesky trade messing up my analysis of the numbers! In any event, thanks for the quick info. I'm looking at ordering or finding a base with an approximate sticker of $86. With only so many options at that price point I'm thinking $10K off might be a stretch, although who knows how long the 2012s will hang around. I'd prefer a 2013 with the glass roof, hence my thoughts on ordering. I'm in no rush, but I would also pull the trigger quickly if I found the right car at an aggressive price.

I also wouldn't mind picking up a low-optioned pre-owned CPO-ed 991. There's a low-optioned 991 listed privately for $79.9 already, so that's promising. Thanks again. I'll be following this thread for updates by others. Cheers!
